Delivery and Collection Summary: Delivery and collection schedules are established by Mail Services based on building locations, and mail volume. Departments having mail other than "Special Services" mail which needs to be processed after the last scheduled mail pick-up may hand carry this to the mail room, prior to 3:00 p.m., and it will be processed. Carriers may not collect or deliver mail to any unauthorized area. Any variation must be authorized by Mail Services. Request for new or changes in established collection and delivery points must be submitted by memo. Mail collection points need to provide the following individual box separations or bundles:
Departments with more than one budget account number need togroup together the numbers and separate as well. Incoming Special Services MailWe collect our special service mail from the U.S. Post Office every morning at approximately 7:00 AM. It is delivered to the designated collection point each day with the regular mail. All Insured, Registered, Certified, and Express mail is signed for at the time of delivery. It may be accepted by someone other than the addressee.
