How budget cuts and furloughs are impacting Mail Services

During this fiscal year (2011-2012) some of the following service limitations could be implemented:

• Closing during the noon hour for acceptance of outbound administrative mail and Fed-Ex.
• Bulk Mail Services turn-around times will be longer.
• Outbound administrative mail will be delayed due to shorter operating hours and less staff.
• Sorting and delivery of US postal mail will be reduced, potentially causing a one-day delay in outbound mail.

To ensure your needs are met

• In order to process your bulk mail, plan to meet with the bulk mail coordinator as early as possible.
• Become acquainted with locations of white campus mail collection boxes where you can deposit both US Postal Mail and interdepartmental mail for daily pick up.
• Contact Campus Mail Services if you plan to process a high volume of mail or have a heavier than usual pickup.
